Memorial Gardens and Xavier family plot
Here, the Memorial Gardens, mark the resting places of the fallen X-Men and lost students who are laid to rest near the Xavier family crypt. In its center is the Original Xavier Family Crypt. Maintained by the groundskeeper, and dotted with a few statues of angels, There is a fountain, just before the Crypt, and to one side stands a Memorial Wall with the names of those buried here, and those that could not be buried. On the top of the Memorial Wall is a relief in marble of Martin Luther King, Jr. His plaque reads: "Dreams shared are often realized. To A Great Man, who saw fit to change the World for the better, and all those who have perished due to the prejudices and ignorance of our fellow Man."As a final resting place for those of the Xavier family and the X-Men lost over decades, the gardens are beautiful and serene, and fresh flowers are seen daily at the marble headstone of Rachel Summers, the monument to John Proudstar and grave of Calvin Montgomery Rankin, as well as the resting places of Zachary, and Dell. both students lost in the years the mansion has been here. Included nearby is a simple rose of marble marking the loss of those killed in the mutant massacre.
