It was the same every night since she had gotten to the mansion. She would fall asleep in her tank, the environment she had created happily tricking her into believing that she was home. She was in her own bed. With her pets, and her parents and her people. But every night, she found herself waking from the blissful dreams and pulled back into the reality of living on the surface. To combat this, she always made her way down to the water's edge of the lake in an attempt to sooth her soul. It didn't always work. Usually it only made her lonelier and at sun rise, she made a mask of her features and went about her day as a student just like the rest.
This night, she decided to try something different. She had been given a device known to the surface as a cell phone, and she had made quick work of getting those numbers she thought were important. Her friend with the virus, Jon Snow, being one of them. Sitting in a night dress and robe, she sent the techno child a quick text message, informing him that it was her, and that if he were awake, she would greatly appreciate his company should he see it fit to grace her. With the text message sent, she wrapped her arms around her knees as she sat in the sand, and looked out onto the water's reflection of the moon.
One thing about the surface that she was coming to enjoy was the presence of the Moon and Sun for her visual pleasure. She admitted softly to herself often that the Moon was her favorite though. It controlled so much of her world that she felt some strange loyalty to it. The sun was always welcome to her though, as it's warmth reminded her she was in fact alive still, despite the thoughts of living in a nightmare.
