Heroes and Heroines,
The forum has a maximum thread count of 5 active threads per character allowed at any time. This is for the following reasons:
1. Continuity. Though you guys age as comic book characters age (when the writer/GM says you do) day to day, minute to minute passage of time does take place. I watch and scenes need to be placed in an order. If you are in a dozen scenes at once then it scrambles time as you appear to be EVERYWHERE simultaneously. It creates problems for other players and worse, it makes a headache for me.
2. Time (mine). I as the GM of this game operated ALONE. I have some minor help in monitoring the game, but I keep sheets, run plots, handle npcs, keep order and generally keep you guys from blowing up the world by myself. I have to at least peruse the scenes here to be aware of what you are doing. It eats a ton of my personal time and I can't (nor will I ) chase around more scenes than I see fit because any one of you is bored. I simply have other things to do.
3. Rules. I set the count at 3, then upgraded it to 5. Its a rule, its not debatable, its what I want for the game. Period. If you need more to do, then ask to help out, as I stated before I do this without much help.
All of this said, if you currently have a count of greater than 5 scenes active in the forum I'll expect them to be lowered to 5 within the next 48hrs. So everyone check your scenes. If you have old "dead" scenes, end them. If you are in too many, leave the extras or wrap up stuff. After the time stated is up, if folks are still over I'm going to start deleting threads or locking them until others are closed.
I hate to be a tyrant about this, but those are the rules.
Excelsior,
The GM
